The Art & Photography Foundation is committed to preserving and promoting Indian cultural heritage by connecting the arts to the community. Its key project is the building of the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) in Bengaluru.
About the Foundation
Established in Bengaluru in 2011, the Art & Photography Foundation is a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to furthering the awareness, education and conservation of Indian art and heritage. It achieves this through designing and delivering varied educational programmes, and through the planning and overseeing of a new institution for the arts, the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP).
The Foundation further manages and holds a collection of Indian art that it is in the process of archiving, digitising and preserving. Artworks from this collection are used in the Foundation’s education and outreach programmes to develop an audience for visual culture in India, and to build bridges between art and its local context.
